The Villány wine region in southern Hungary is an Eldorado for single-varietal Cabernet Franc. Balász Neuperger produces his wines with respect for nature according to the certified agroecological program. Spontaneous fermentation in stainless steel tanks makes each vintage unique and unadulterated. After the young wine was allowed to mature for 6 months in used 5000-liter Hungarian oak barrels from the Zemplén Mountains, it was then aged in 5-year-old 500-liter Hungarian barrique barrels.

In the glass, a medium-deep ruby red appears

The aromas are reminiscent of blackberries, strawberries, cranberries, lavender, nutmeg, black pepper, toast and coffee.

On the palate, dark berries, herbal spice, a hint of black pepper and coffee harmoniously round off the taste.

A beautifully balanced, lean to medium-bodied Cabernet Franc, with few tannins, pleasant acidity and a remarkable finish.

A great all-rounder for food but also simply enjoyable on its own!
